The Government Commission in charge of expropriation raised awareness, on Saturday, March 28, in Kinshasa, the people affected by the South-West rock project, on the Lutendele – Terminus Mbudi axis, in the commune of Mont-Ngafula.
This initiative aims to mobilize local communities and engage them on the stakes associated with expropriation for public utility, in view of the completion of this strategic road project.
The meeting brought together various experts from concerned structures and services, as well as members of the Inter-Ministerial Commission charged with the materialization of the project.
The main objective was to clarify the impacted sites and explain the compensation process.
During this session, the riparians of Lutendele and Mbudi expressed their desire to see the state honor its commitments, particularly with regard to the payment of compensation, which they wish to see treated amicably.
This meeting allowed participants to formulate their concerns and ask questions, fostering constructive dialogue, essential to guarantee the transparency of the process and strengthen trust between authorities and citizens.
Three weeks ago, the Inter-Ministerial Commission in charge of expropriation within the framework of the Rocks Project had already launched an awareness campaign among residents of Ndjoku Avenue, in Kimbanseke commune.
