The handover and transfer of the mandate to the Ministry of Land Affairs took place on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the Ministry's office, during an official ceremony between the outgoing Minister, Acacia Bandubola Mbongo, and the new Minister, O'Neige N'sele. The event took place in the presence of the Acting Secretary General for Land Affairs, representing the Secretary General of the Government.
The meeting was preceded by a private meeting lasting approximately one hour between the two members of the government. The formal ceremony then opened under the chairmanship of the Acting Secretary General, who took the opportunity to congratulate the two ministers on their reappointment to the Suminwa II government, while expressing his gratitude to the President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, and to the Prime Minister, Judith Suminwa Tuluka, for their renewed confidence in them.
The symbolic moment of the handover was marked by the reading and signing of the minutes, followed by the official presentation of the baton by Acacia Bandubola Mbongo to her successor, O'Neige N'sele.
In her speech, the outgoing Minister expressed her deep gratitude to the Head of State for the trust placed in her, as well as to the Prime Minister for her support. She briefly reviewed the major achievements of her term as Minister of Land Affairs, before warmly congratulating her successor, wishing her every success in her new role, which she described as both "noble and demanding."
Speaking in turn, the incoming Minister, O'Neige N'sele, thanked the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister for this renewed expression of confidence. She praised the work accomplished by her predecessor, whom she congratulated on her appointment as Minister of State for Hydrocarbons.
It is worth noting that Acacia Bandubola Mbongo is leaving the Ministry of Land Affairs to head the Ministry of Hydrocarbons, while O'Neige N'sele, who twice held the position of Deputy Minister of Finance, is now taking charge of a strategic ministry for the development of the DRC.
