The Governor of the city-province of Kinshasa announces the demolition, within 48 hours, of all unplanned constructions erected in Ngaliema Bay, along the Congo River.
This decision takes effect as of Tuesday, April 22, 2025, the date on which the Kinshasa City Hall's communications unit signed and published a related press release.
According to this document, the Governor of the city states that he is basing his decision on the Government of the Republic to enforce urban planning standards and regulations regarding easements and public rights-of-way, on the one hand, and, on the other, to preserve the viability of the Regideso water catchment plant and its proper operation.
This is an opportunity for the provincial executive to invite the affected residents to take the necessary steps to comply with the said decision.
